If you choose the self-assembly option, our chicken coops are delivered by freight carrier on a pallet, preassembled into individual elements (max 115cm x 200cm). All holes for connecting the elements are pre-drilled. The required screws (plus a few spares) are included. The wire mesh, fittings, flaps, windows and doors are already installed. If you would like to paint/oil/treat the coop yourself, we can also supply the individual parts separately on request. This allows you to apply the finish neatly to every part.

As a quality check, we fully assemble the chicken coop once and dismantle it again for shipping.

The plywood panels inside and outside the coop are already securely nailed to the individual modules. The rafters are also fully prefabricated: grooved, glued and screwed together, with the cladding already fitted. The grooved battens automatically ensure the correct spacing during assembly. All galvanised roof sections are precisely cut to size and pre-drilled. Simply position them, screw them into place – done.

If we apply the finish for you, we use a transparent, bio-based natural oil.

[2] If you would like us to assemble the coop for you, to keep the amount of travel involved within reasonable limits, this service is included in the flat rate only in Italian postcode areas beginning with 00, 01, 02, 05, 06 ,52, 53, 58. In this case, there are no transport costs. Greater distances are possible, but should be discussed with us beforehand (for example, we are often in Switzerland or northern Italy). A strip foundation (for example, very attractive in tuff stone) or a suitably levelled ground surface is required. If necessary, we can also carry out this work by prior arrangement.
